Shabbat Shalom,
Kěpha Bět/2 Peter 1:2-3 “Favour and peace be increased to you in the knowledge of Elohim and of יהושע our Master, 3 as His Mighty-like power has given to us all we need for life and reverence, through the knowledge of Him who called us to esteem and uprightness.”
Praise to our Master and Elohim, יהושע Messiah, who has, by His Mighty-like power given us all we need for life and reverence! How often have you found yourself thinking that you do not have what it takes, when confronted with a daunting task? How many times have you found yourself being persuaded by your own insecurities that you cannot do what is required and expected of you? Kěpha clearly reminds us that our Master has given us all we need to live faithful lives in complete reverence before Him; which we get equipped with as we grow in the knowledge of the One who has called us out of darkness and into His marvellous light! He has called us to set-apartness, and has given us all we need to live set-apart lives amidst a wicked and corrupt world!
The Greek word used here in Kěpha Bět/2 Peter for ‘given’ is δωρέομαι dōreomai – Strong’s G1433 which is a verb meaning, ‘to give, present, bestow’, and comes from the noun δῶρον dōron – Strong’s G1435 which means, ‘a gift, present, a sacrifice, offering of a gift’, which comes from the prolonged verb δίδωμι didōmi – Strong’s G1325 meaning, ‘to give, supply, furnish’. Messiah gave Himself for us, so that we may be fully equipped to walk in Him and live set-apart lives, as He redeemed us from all lawlessness, as Sha’ul reminds us in:
Timotiyos Bet/2 Timothy 2:14 “ who gave Himself for us, to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for Himself a people, His own possession, ardent for good works.”
As a gift offering, He gave Himself for us, giving us the gift of life, through His Blood, ensuring that we have all for life and reverence! As His ‘given ones’ who have been redeemed from all lawlessness, and cleansed as a possession of Messiah, we are to be ardent for good works – that is the good works of obedience to His commands!
Eph’siyim/Ephesians 5:2 “And walk in love, as Messiah also has loved us, and gave Himself for us, a gift and an offering to Elohim for a sweet-smelling fragrance.”
To walk in love for our Elohim is to obey His commands, after all we have been redeemed from lawlessness!
Yoḥanan Aleph/1 John 5:3 “For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy”
Having been redeemed from lawlessness and ardent for good works, we recognise that it is by His Mighty-like power that works in us, that we are able to walk according to the Spirit and put to death the misdeeds of the flesh:
Galatiyim/Galatians 2:20 “I have been impaled with Messiah, and I no longer live, but Messiah lives in me. And that which I now live in the flesh I live by belief in the Son of Elohim, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Because He gave Himself for me, I am strengthened in Him to do all:
Pilipiyim/Philippians 4:13 “I have strength to do all, through Messiah who empowers me.”
The reason for mentioning these verses is to simply highlight the clear truth, that those who stay in the Master, and walk in Him, shall be strengthened to do all – and by all I mean all that is required, according to the Word of Elohim!
So when you find yourself feeling insecure and ill-equipped to do what the Master calls you to do, think again! Do not just sit around and wait for better days, get up and do what is required of you!
Miḵah/Micah 6:8 “He has declared to you, O man, what is good. And what does יהוה require of you but to do right, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your Elohim?”
(we touched on this verse last week in the message ‘EXALTING THE RIGHT DOOR!’)
When Asa, sovereign of Yehuḏah, turned to the sovereign of Aram for help, יהוה sent a stern rebuke through Ḥanani, and told Asa in Diḇre haYamim Bet/2 Chronicles 16:9 that the eyes of יהוה diligently search throughout all the earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect to Him. Asa acted foolishly in this and was told that he would have battles from that day on. Asa became diseased in his feet in the 39th year of his reign, and even in his severe sickness he would not seek יהוה, but rather went to the world for help and he died in the 41st year of his reign. יהוה desires to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are perfect toward Him! He is continually seeking hearts that are completely dependent upon Him and trust and rely upon Him for their all. He is constantly looking for those whose hearts are ready and able to go and be faithful ambassadors, so that He can show Himself strong on their behalf!
When Yeshayahu saw the esteem of Elohim in the Heavens, he was confronted with the reality of being undone, in his own strength, and confessed that he was a man of unclean lips dwelling in the midst of a people of unclean lips. After having his lips touched and his crookedness taken away and his sin covered, Yeshayahu responded to the call that was given by יהוה in the heavens.. “Whom do I send, and who would go for Us?”. He said, “Here am I! Send me.”. Having been given the gift of a cleansed mouth and his crookedness taken away and his sins covered, he could boldly stand up in the strength of Elohim and respond to the urgent need to go and proclaim the reign of the heavens! He had all he needed for life and reverence, through the knowledge of Him who had called him and cleansed him!
As we consider the great gift that our Master and Elohim has given us, through the life, death and resurrection of יהושע Messiah, we recognise that we have a great duty and service to do, as we are continually strengthened in His Word to do what He commands us to, as a set-apart, chosen and royal priesthood.
Bemiḏbar/Numbers 18:6 “And see, I Myself have taken your brothers the Lěwites from the midst of the children of Yisra’ĕl – a gift to you, given by יהוה, to do the service of the Tent of Meeting.”
The Hebrew word translated as ‘gift’ is מַתָּנָה Mattanah – Strong’s H4979 which means, ‘gift, as he is able, reward’, and is the feminine of the word מַתָּן Mattan – Strong’s H4976 which simply means, ‘a gift’, which in turn comes from the root verb נָתַן Nathan – Strong’s H5414 which means, ‘to give, put, set, appointed, delivered, given, placed’. It is from this word that we get the plural term נְתִינִים Nethinim which means, ‘given ones’. This teaches us a very vital lesson, as we consider here that the Lěwites were given as a gift, a gift for service to Aharon the high priest. This shadow pictures for us how we, as a called out, set-apart, chosen and royal priesthood, are the ‘given ones’, given as a gift – that is a gift for service unto our High Priest and King, יהושע Messiah!
As we consider this, we need to take great care in how we present ourselves, as a gift to our High Priest and King! When you give a gift to someone, you do not give them something that is broken and dysfunctional, and so too must we see how our lives must never be presented to our Master and Elohim as something that is dysfunctional. We, as Sha’ul tells us in Romiyim/Romans 12, are to present our bodies as a daily living offering, set-apart and well pleasing to Elohim – for this is our reasonable worship! His gift to us was perfect, and so too should our giving of ourselves back to Him, be perfect too! In a time when many are hearing but not understanding, and seeing but not perceiving, we recognise that we must stand up and be counted worthy of being faithful ambassadors who go forward and press on in faith! As we sojourn here as ambassadors, we are not to be afraid of that which we may encounter along the way, but rather put our trust in Him who is continually seeking opportunities to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are perfect toward Him. In a message tonight called, ‘COME – LET US GO!’ I would like us to be encouraged to be strengthened in the knowledge of Elohim and know that, as we go forward in faith, we are able to fully trust the truth that it is יהוה who fights for us! Please turn with me to Shemuʼěl Aleph/1 Samuel 14:1-15 (READ).
As we consider the events that relate to this passage, we know that Yisra’ĕl was at war with the Philistines, Shemuʼěl had just rebuked Sha’ul for not keeping יהוה’s command. They had left Gilgal and gone up to Giḇʽah in Binyamin while the Philistines were in Miḵmash – opposite sides of a steep valley which cuts into the hill country of the Yardĕn valley. Now you must also realise that the Yisra’ĕlites had no weapons, only Sha’ul and Yonathan had! Think about it for a moment – 600 Yisra’ĕlite men with only two swords, one of which was not used (Sha’ul’s), against thousands of Philistines. Here were events that gave Yisra’ĕl the opportunity to be dependent on Elohim, and in so doing be taught to be in submission to Elohim. In Shemuʼěl Aleph/1 Samuel 13 and 14 Yisra’ĕl is brought to a place of either trusting in יהוה or trusting in the arm of the flesh. The same goes for us today, when at various times in our lives, we as individuals and as a fellowship, are brought to the point of either trusting יהוה or trusting in the flesh. So therefore today I want to discuss trusting יהוה to act on our behalf, and in so doing let me share some insights from this passage, as we consider the great example of a strengthened faith that Yonathan and his armour bearer display.
יוֹנָתָן Yonathan – Strong’s H3129 which is a form of יְהוֹנָתָן Yehonathan – Strong’s H3083 which means, ‘יהוה has given’, as it comes from the two words: 1) יהוה – Strong’s H3068 and 2) נָתַן Nathan – Strong’s H5414 which means, ‘to give, put, set, appointed, delivered, given, placed’, as already mentioned. Yonathan was a ‘given one’ of יהוה, and here in this amazing account of a huge victory given by יהוה to the given one, we are able to recognise the courageous faith that Yonathan and his armour bearer display!
Yonathan’s faith, as we can clearly see here, was totally in trusting יהוה. He had a confident, unwavering faith, as he says to his armour bearer, “Come, let us go over”. He had such zeal for יהוה, and was keen and discerning at the same time too. I mean he had great faith – the Philistines had 30,000 chariots, 600 horsemen and soldiers as numerous as the sand on the shore. The effects of this daunting sight had caused the Yisra’ĕlites to hide in the caves in distress, after all they had no weapons, beside Yonathan and Sha’ul’s. And here we see Yonathan in the midst of this, possibly thinking to himself, “You know what, I am tired of sitting in this valley waiting for better days”, and says to his armour bearer, “Come let us go over!” He knew what lay ahead, the difficulty of facing a huge army, he knew the physical circumstances that were totally against him, yet he went. He didn’t take inventory of weapons, as he only had his own sword, which his armour bearer carried, and he says “come on let’s go”. We know that the sword gives reference for us today as that which pictures the Word, and the sword of the Spirit is the very Word of יהוה. When we are armed in the Torah and stand firm in the Master, we come to realise that we have all we need for life and reverence, and are able to face the daily battles that stare us in the face! Armed with sword in hand, we can do all through our Master.
This call of Yonathan to his armour bearer is the call we need to hear being resounded today – the call to come and let us go!
The Hebrew word for ‘come’ is from the root word הָלַךְ halaḵ – Strong’s H1980 meaning, ‘to walk, to go, to live, manner of life, cause to live’ and literally speaks of how one lives. It is used as a verb indicating that it is an active expression of one’s life. This is verb is written in the ‘qal active’ tense and therefore renders the meaning, ‘to go, to walk, come, proceed, depart, move, go away, to die, live, manner of life (figuratively)’. This word is related to the other primitive root word used for ‘walk’, which is יָלַךְ yalaḵ – Strong’s H3212 which also means, ‘to go, walk, come, depart, proceed, move, go away’, and can also have the meaning to ‘carry (as in a burden)’, and here in this call given twice, in verses 1 and 6, is a clear picture for us in our need to hear the very loud and clear call to walk in the Torah and bear the light burden of our Master. In many ways we can see Yonathan picturing for us, יהושע Messiah, who is calling His armour bearers, that is you and me, to get up and walk in faith, armed in Him!
While Yonathan and his armour bearer took up the courageous move to go and confront the enemy, we see that his father Sha’ul remained sitting under the pomegranate tree, along with the 600 men who were with him. This also carries a powerful lesson as we consider how courageous Yonathan and his armour bearer were, versus his father who remained under the pomegranate tree! The Hebrew word for ‘remained’ is יָשַׁב yashaḇ – Strong’s H3427 meaning, ‘sit, dwell, remain, abide, inhabit, sitting still’ and a modern word derived from this word which is translated as school is ‘yeshiva’. And ‘sitting’ in the Hebraic min-set is an idiom for learning; and it is at the Master’s Feet that we come and sit and drink of His Pure and Clear Living Water and get great clarity and insight and strength to sojourn with joy! The idea of sitting in the Hebrew mind-set here is to learn, and not to simply sit and vegetate but rather sit and pay attention to the instructions of their teacher. Now while we can certainly see the positive meaning of this word, we are also able to see a negative side to ‘sitting’ and remaining in a seated position! Sha’ul warned Timotiyos that in the last days hard times would come and men would be lovers of self, blasphemers, lovers of money, proud, reckless, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of Elohim, and that they would have a form of reverence but deny its power. They would captivate silly women who are loaded down with sins and led astray through lust, and are always learning yet never able to come to the knowledge of the truth!
Sha’ul pictures for us the greedy lover of pleasure who has captivated his followers to just sit and never do! The Hebrew word for ‘pomegranate’ is רִמֹּן Rimmon – Strong’s H7416 and is full of seeds, which reminds us of the promise given to Aḇraham, in that his descendants will be as numerous as the stars in the sky. On the hem of the robe of the shoulder garment for the high priest was gold bells and pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet – a significant picture indeed. What is interesting about the pomegranate is the fact that there are many seeds inside and represents the Word that is sown by the Farmer with the expectation of a return – the bells can be symbolic of the trumpet of His Coming – where the questions remains as to what will He find? Will He find faith? And Active faith that has taken that which has been sown and multiplied?
Luqas/Luke 18:8 “I say to you that He shall do right to them speedily. But when the Son of Aḏam comes, shall He find the belief on the earth?”
Sha’ul remained under the pomegranate tree, while Yonathan got up and went in faith, and so we are able to see the difference between the remnant faithful who grow in the understanding of Elohim and are able to trust Him, as they apply the knowledge of Elohim, through active faith, versus the lazy masses, who assume to be learning and learning more and more, yet never actually get up and obey that which they are supposed to be learning about!
In verse 3 we are told that the priests did not know that Yonathan had gone, and herein lies another classic picture of a corrupt priesthood that was not doing its job, for they did not even know that the kings son had left camp!
Mishlĕ/Proverbs 27:23 “Know well the state of your flocks; set your heart to your herds”
The priest was wearing the shoulder garment, yet there was no true priesthood in operation; and herein lies the picture of the false church system of man-made theologies that has so many sitting under a vain and corrupted teaching system that promotes selfishness rather than service toward each other! Yonathan decided to get up and go, and trust in יהוה and he went to take back ground that the enemy had stolen! We are told in verse 14 that the first smiting which Yonathan and his armour bearer struck was 20 men in about an area of about ½ an acre! When they went forward in faith, יהוה showed Himself strong on their behalf! When we walk in complete faith and trust in יהוה then we better be prepared to be amazed!
Ḥaḇaqquq/Habakkuk 1:5 “Look among the nations and see, and be amazed, be amazed! For a work is being wrought in your days which you would not believe if it were told.”
If I were to tell you that יהוה is going to do something amazing in our days – would you believe me? Let me tell you, He is going to, and in fact He already is, aměn! Look at what an awesome family we are, and how He is growing us in our knowledge of Him! יהוה is doing amazing things here, and now you have been told, yet perhaps some of you don’t believe it – why? Because it may be that you are hiding in a cave of despair and fear, always learning yet not able to come to the knowledge of the truth! If that is you, for whatever reason, or for whatever battle you may be hiding from – then hear the call that Yonathan gave his armour bearer, ‘Come – let us go’!
There is no time to sit still, as we are called to take a stand and fight the good fight!
Yonathan trusted יהוה – where is your trust today, given one of Elohim? Perhaps Yonathan could be described here as being like Aḇraham, as Sha’ul wrote in Romiyim/Romans 4:20 &21, saying that Aḇraham did not hesitate about the promise of Elohim through unbelief, but was strengthened in belief, giving esteem to Elohim, and being completely persuaded that what He had promised He was also able to do. Yonathan and his armour bearer were fully confident in יהוה’s ability to perform on their behalf – that is not arrogance – that is faith! An active faith that our Master asks if He will find when He comes again!
What am I saying here? Listen, whatever you are facing, here the urgent call to not just sit around and wait for someone else to move before you move! Is your belief in יהוה dependent upon others, upon your circumstances, or upon יהוה? Can you say, as Yonathan said, “Come let us go over”, and actually take the lead in walking in complete set-apartness, or are you waiting for someone else to go before you follow? What battles are you facing? Hear this call tonight that says to you, “Come let us go”, and let us fight this good fight together, armed in the Torah! Don’t wait for others to initiate your need to get up and move. Can you say, “Come let us go” and call others out of darkness, even in the face of immense battles? It is time for true worshippers to stand up and together with the Spirit say, Come!
Faith without works is dead! Yonathan and his armour bearer had faith and they got up and used it!!!
Do you believe the Word or not? If you believe it, as you claim to, then what, if anything, is stopping you from walking without compromise? Yonathan declared in verse 6 that יהוה does work for us and there is no hindrance for יהוה to save, whether by few or many! No battle is too big for יהוה, yet I fear that this is not a reality to many, in the face of some of life’s toughest challenges!
Romiyim/Romans 8:31 “What then shall we say to this? If Elohim is for us, who is against us?”
The mission was not an easy one, as Yonathan and his armour bearer would have to make it through a steep pass that had a rocky edge on one side and a rocky edge on the other. Two steep rocky cliffs that he would have to make it over, just to get to the other side! As if it was not enough to just go and confront the enemy, but he still had to do a lot of climbing, which would have taken a lot of energy, yet this did not hinder his faith in יהוה. So many times people give up the fight they know they must face, long before they even come to face it, due to their being too many obstacles in the way, or rather they find many excuses as to why they do not have to face what they should, or justify why they did not need to anymore. Yonathan never let a rocky cliff face hinder his mission, and neither should we! Getting through the pass was one major hurdle, yet they did so with urgency and never lost their reliance and trust in יהוה. We are told that the one rocky edge was called בּוֹצֵץ Botsets – Strong’s H949 which means, ‘surpassing white, glistening’, which comes from the same root word as בּוּץ buts – Strong’s H948 which means, ‘fine linen, byssus’, which was a very costly cloth. This was the rocky edge on the north side before מִכְמָשׁ Mikmash – Strong’s H4363 meaning, ‘hidden’, which was on the Philistine side of the pass. The other rocky edge on the south side was called סֶ֑נֶּה Senneh – Strong’s H5573 which means, ‘thorny’; and this rocky edge was in front of גֶּבַע Geḇa – Strong’s H1387 meaning, ‘hill’, and this was on the Yisra’ĕlite side of the pass. I find this a very interesting picture for us, as we do not neglect to consider the lesson we can learn from the mentioning of these two rocky edges. Yonathan and his armour bearer had to climb up and down through two rocky edges, firstly through the ‘thorny’ edge by the ‘hill’ and then the ‘surpassing white’ edge that where they were ‘hidden’. This was to be accomplished before they would even face the Philistines! We can certainly learn a great deal here in recognising how we are to be more than overcomers in our Master and Elohim, יהושע Messiah, and recognise that He took the thorn in His flesh for us, in order that we can live upright lives and be hidden in Him, as we endure and are those who are guarding the commands of Elohim and the belief of יהושע. To the assembly in Sardis, the assembly that was told to wake up and strengthen what remains, we are that he who overcomes shall be dressed in white robes!
Yonathan and his armour bearer were, in many ways, between a rock and a hard place, so to speak; and they overcame! We are more than overcomers through Him who loved us, and our called for endurance must be faithfully active in our lives! When you feel like you are between a rock and a hard place, what do you do? Do you give up and crawl into a cave of despair, or do you endure and hold firm the bold confession of our Master and Elohim, who seeks those whose hearts are perfect before Him, so that He can delight in showing Himself strong on their behalf?
In verse 7 we find some very comforting and encouraging words that the armour bearer said to Yonathan, when he basically said, “I am with you, hearty and soul!”
He knew that he could be with Yonathan, for he recognised that יהוה was with Yonathan! While Yonathan’s armour bearer may have been young, he must have been strong; and his complete trust in his master helps us see how we are to put our complete trust in our Master and Elohim, יהושע Messiah, as faithful armour bearers of His Torah, who will follow and serve in Spirit and Truth, even though the roughest battles or circumstances that we might have to climb and face!
In verse 8 Yonathan makes it clear that they were to pass over to the Philistines and make themselves known! The Hebrew word for ‘show’, as in ‘show ourselves’ is the root word גָּלָה galah – Strong’s H1540 and means, ‘to uncover, remove, to be uncovered, to reveal oneself’, and herein lies the clear picture of how we are to shine as true ambassadors of the coming reign. We are not ‘undercover agents’ of the Kingdom of Elohim, we are ambassadors that are to make ourselves clearly visible! If people you know do not know that you follow the Torah and live set-apart lives, then you are not being a true ambassador! We do not need to hide who we are, let it be plainly seen. Some may actually receive us, while others will not. We are ambassadors of a coming reign, that we are to proclaim with feet peace!
Mattithyahu/Matthew 10:12-14 “And as you enter into a house, greet it. 13 “And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14 “And whoever does not receive you nor hear your words, when you leave that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.”
The enemy ridiculed Yonathan and his armour bearer, yet this did not stop them from going forward by faith!
In verse 13 we are told that Yonathan climbed up on his hands and knees, with his armour bearer after him; and that they enemy fell before Yonathan with his armour bearer putting them to death behind him!
I find this very interesting as a clear metaphor for victory in obedience, as we take note that the use of hands and knees here is very significant! Firstly, the Hebrew root word for ‘climbed up’ is עָלָה alah – Strong’s H5927 which carries the meaning of, ‘to go up, ascend, climb, offer, exalted’; and the use of hands is often a metaphor for that which one does, and the Hebrew word for ‘hand’ is יָד yad – Strong’s H3027 and is a primitive root which is translated as, ‘hand, command, authority, power, tenon, side’, and the primary meaning of this noun is “the terminal part of the arm used to perform functions of man’s will.”. The Word translated here as ‘knees’ could be better translated as ‘feet’, as the Hebrew word used is רֶגֶל regel – Strong’s H7272 and means ‘a foot/feet or to walk’, and speaks of one’s obedience to walking according to the commands of Elohim and obeying His call to keep His feasts as commanded, as we take note that this word is also translated as ‘times’ in:
Shemoth/Exodus 23:14 “Three times in the year you are to observe a festival to Me.”
While Yonathan ascended with his hands and feet, the enemy fell! Herein lies a vital clue for us – and that is that we must be faithful in guarding the commands of Elohim, as we do not hide the fact that we hear, guard an do all that He has commanded us to! When we keep His Sabbaths and Appointed Times/Feasts and are ‘doers’ of the Word and not hearers only, we will see how the enemy will fall around us! With one sword, which was in the armour bearers hand, they struck 20 armed men! Yonathan may have had a rod in his hand, as we know in verse 27 that he used the rod in his hand to dip it into a honeycomb. The rod in hand speaks of submitting under the authority of the Good Shepherd, and so we need to guard the need to submit to walking wholeheartedly in obedience and go forward in faith, not fearing the battles we may encounter, but rather put our trust in the Good Shepherd, our Master and Elohim, יהושע Messiah, who has given us all for life and reverence!
With this first smiting a trembling of Elohim came upon all! Yonathan and his armour bearer’s courageous faith caused the Jealous fire of יהוה to be ignited in their midst and at this the enemy had no hope! When we are faithful in guarding to do the Torah of Elohim, no matter the circumstances we face, then we can be sure that our Jealous Elohim, will send the fear of us on our enemies, for יהוה, as already mentioned is diligently searching all the earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect to Him. Let our feet not be like Asa’s that became diseased through compromise, but rather let our feet be filled with the Shalom of our King who fights for us, and guard our need to walk in obedience to His Word, and be open about it!!!
We are armour bearers of our great King, and true armour bearers do not sit on the side-lines waiting for others to do what is required! True armour bearers, bear one another’s burdens, so that we fulfil the Torah! True armour bearers are with their Master, heart and soul, and are not afraid of what they might face, as they are armed with the Sword of Truth in their hand, following in their Master’s steps!
Yoḥanan Aleph/1 john 2:6 “The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked.”
I want to ask you tonight, have you been sitting on the side-lines and too afraid to believe יהוה and take Him at His Word? Or, have you been sitting under the pomegranate tree too long, puffing yourself up with much learning, yet never able to come to a knowledge pf the truth, simply because you won’t get up and do what you should?
Do you trust יהוה to sow Himself strong on your behalf, or do you doubt, as you recognise that your heart has not been perfect toward Him, because you have been compromising the called for set-apartness of a royal priesthood?
What are you facing? Are you facing seemingly impossible battles? Then hear the call tonight being given through the word: ‘COME – LET US GO!’ Come and let us go and fight the good fight, calling others to come too!
Iḇ’rim/Hebrews 10:23-25 “Let us hold fast the confession of our expectation without yielding, for He who promised is trustworthy. 24 And let us be concerned for one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging, and so much more as you see the Day coming near.”
Yonathan knew that he had all he needed in יהוה, to go forward in faith; and it delighted יהוה to show Himself strong on Yonathan’s behalf. We too have been given all we need for life and reverence, therefore be prepared to be amazed at יהוה showing Himself strong on your behalf, as you walk with a perfect heart toward Him! Knowing that you have all you need in our Master and Elohim, hear these words, as the words of our Commander whom we choose to follow, and hear His Spirit saying to you and me: “COME – LET US GO!”
יהוה bless you and guard you; יהוה make His face shine upon you and show favour to you; יהוה lift up His face to and give you shalom!
