YHWH our SAVIOUR!!! - YHWH our MESSIAH!!!

Shalom,

One of the most debated topics among Torah observant believers is the contested view of whether or not יהושע Messiah is Elohim. Many refuse to see and acknowledge that יהושע Messiah is the ‘Right Arm’ of יהוה, meaning that He is in fact the physical manifestation, in bodily form, of יהוה our Elohim Himself. Some argue that יהושע Messiah is only the Son of Elohim and not Elohim Himself, but is rather a Messenger of Elohim. But what does Scripture reveal to us? In this article I want to present to you Scripturally what is being revealed to us, by the ‘revelation’ of  יהוה our Saviour! When asking any Torah observant follower of Elohim who their Saviour is, they will most certainly agree that  יהושע Messiah is our Saviour; however some will say that while He is our Saviour He is not Elohim, but is an ‘agent’ of Elohim working on His behalf. Is this a valid assumption, or does it neglect to see Scriptural truth due to the veil of man-made dogmas and traditions? My hope, in this article, is to simply show what Scripture is declaring and show, as Scripture so clearly tells us, that יהוה is our Saviour, and more bluntly put – יהוה is our Messiah – and there is NO other Messiah besides Him.

NOTE: For those who may be unfamiliar with the Hebraic text, please note that throughout this entire article I have chosen to use the Hebraic text for the Names of our Saviour. The Hebrew Script of the Name of YHWH (Yahweh) is written as – יהוה and Yahushua is written as – יהושע.

The Name יהושע (Yahushua) simply means that “יהוה (YHWH) Deliverers/Saves”. When we call upon the Name that saves – יהוה, we are declaring that the Great I Am is the One who causes me to be, and to declare the Name of יהושע, we are declaring the plain truth that “the Great I AM who causes me to be, saves me” or “The Great I AM who causes me to be has become/or is my Saviour/Deliverer!

Before I begin by going into the actual texts that are relevant for this study, we must ask ourselves whether the English term ‘Messiah’ is limited to meaning ‘anointed’ only, or does it have further meaning, meaning that has been hidden and veiled from us through vain and false teachings? This study will show that Messiah also means ‘Saviour/Deliverer’…!

The first text that I would like to present to you is from:

Yeshayahu/Isaiah 43:11 “I, I am יהוה, and besides Me there is no saviour.

While many will use this, as well as other verses to faithfully proclaim that there is no other Saviour but יהוה Himself, it can often end up in endless debates when argued simply from a ‘English’ translation perspective alone, yet when we dig a little deeper into the Hebrew text and simply read, as a child would read, we are able to begin to see the powerful revelation of who our Great Saviour is.

The phrase translated as ‘besides’ in the Hebrew is מִבַּלְעָדַיmibalaḏai, and is translates either as ‘besides, apart from, from besides’. It is constructed from two words: 1) מִן min – Strong’s H4481 which is a preposition that can render the meaning, from, out of, by, by reason of, as a result of, according to; and 2) בִּלְעֲדֵי bilaḏai – Strong’s H1107 which means, apart from, except, without, besides, and is a participle that is a construct from בַּל bal – Strong’s H1107 meaning, none, not, neither, cannot, immovable, never, nothing, and עַד aḏ – Strong’s H5704 meaning, as long, even until, as far as, perpetuity, continually, forever.

What this is saying here is that there can never be a Saviour apart from יהוה, or No Saviour can come from anything or anyone other than יהוה. Those who deny the ‘Deity/Elohimness’ of  יהושע will say that this texts simply confirms to them that יהושע came ‘from’ יהוה and so, as Saviour He can be Saviour for He came from יהוה, but is not יהוה.

This thought pattern certainly can be understood as we see how יהוה often ‘raised up a saviour’ for Yisra’ĕl, when he raised up one from amidst the children of Yisra’ĕl who would deliver/save Yisra’ĕl; as in the examples we find in Shophetim/Judges 3 with Othni’ĕl, Ĕhuḏ and Shamgar, yet these 3 men all clearly are a great shadow picture of the True Saviour of Yisra’ĕl and not the Saviour Himself, for they were empowered to save Yisra’ĕl when the Spirit of the Saviour came upon them! Some will argue that this is the same for יהושע, yet this is not so… as we will see through the clear evidence presented in Scripture.

The Hebrew root word for the word translated as ‘saviour’ is יָשַׁע  yasha – Strong’s H3467 which means, deliver, brought salvation, saviour, saves. What one recognises when studying the Word and doing so by digging into the original Hebrew and Greek texts, we often gain our understanding from the root verb that expresses the action being done. While this is extremely important in gaining clarity and insight into the text, we must also be aware that the root word in itself cannot always give you the fuller meaning behind the language of the text that is to be read. The root word can vary in its meaning based on the tense of the verb and the person involved in doing the action, as well as who the action is being done to.

When most study the Word, and use some very valuable tools that are available for free for all to use, such as E-Sword, what they may not realise is that when doing word studies, they are only seeing the root without the tense and structure of the expanded word from the root which it comes. This verse is one example of this.

Below is the text as seen in E-Sword from the HOT+ (Hebrew Old Testament with Strong’s numbers):

 Isa 43:11  אנכיH595  אנכיH595  יהוהH3068  ואיןH369  מבלעדיH1107  מושׁיע׃H3467

Now for most fervent seeking Torah observant followers today, who are not Hebrew speaking, the Hebrew language is not necessarily fully understood or able to be read and understood as it should be. Therefore tools such as the Strong’s dictionaries come in very handy and enable us to learn more and more of what the text is declaring. As you can see above with the numbers that are given by each word, these numbers relate to the root word of the word and not the full word itself. The vowel pointings are also not displayed. In the Hebrew text with vowel pointings this verse can be read as:

אָנֹכִי אָנֹכִי יהוה וְאֵין מִבַּלְעָדַי מוֹשִׁיעַ׃

As you will notice above, the last word in the Hebrew text of the verse, you can see the Strong’s number that is given – and that is the word we have just discussed – H3467 - יָשַׁע yasha. What you can see here is that the last word is constructed with more letters than just יָשַׁע yasha. It is the word:

מוֹשִׁיעַ

Transliterated this word is expressed as: ‘Moshiya’, and the morphology of this word is written in the following structure:

verb, hifil, active, pure noun participle, masculine, normal’ - to put it simply, it is a masculine noun that causes an action!

The tense of the action is in the ‘Hifil’ tense which indicates the ‘causative sense’ of verbs;  in other words, the subject of the stem in the Hiphil causes the object of that verb to act as subject in the idea expressed by the stem.

What is being expressed here is that יהוה is the ‘causer’ of Salvation/Deliverance!

When looking at this word, without all the technicalities, I was immediately struck with an awesome revelation that is often hidden under the veil of traditional thought processes of interpretations, rather than just the pure childlike faith of reading the text as is. When one reads this, it is made clear – there is NO ‘MOSHIYA’ besides יהוה!

I would like to show you further texts that have a similar word structure, which further confirms who our Saviour is.

Yeshayahu/Isaiah 43:3 “For I am יהוה your Elohim, the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl, your Saviour; I gave Mitsrayim for your ransom, Kush and Seḇa in your place.

Here we are clearly told that יהוה is our Elohim and Saviour!!!

Looking at the HOT+ (Hebrew Old Testament with Strong's numbers):

 Isa 43:3  כיH3588  אניH589  יהוהH3069  אלהיךH430  קדושׁH6918  ישׂראלH3478  מושׁיעךH3467  נתתיH5414  כפרךH3724  מצריםH4714  כושׁH3568  וסבאH5434  תחתיך׃H8478

As you will notice above is the same root word is used here, yet has a slightly different construct than in verse 11. The root verb is still יָשַׁע  yasha – Strong’s H3467.

     כִּי אֲנִי יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ קְדוֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל מוֹשִׁיעֶךָ נָתַתִּי כָפְרְךָ מִצְרַיִם כּוּשׁ וּסְבָא תַּחְתֶּיךָ׃

The construct of this word is transliterated as Moshiyeḥa (Moshiyecha), which literally renders ‘your Saviour’, or ‘the one who saves you’, as this is clear who the Saviour of Yisra’ĕl is. This is written in the masculine second person, which clearly shows that יהוה, as Husband, is referring to Himself as Yisra’ĕl’s Saviour, which we see again in:

Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 30:10

ISR Scriptures 1998 Edition:

And you, do not fear, O Ya’aqoḇ My servant,’ declares יהוה, ‘nor be discouraged, O Yisra’ĕl. For look, I am saving you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity. And Ya’aqoḇ shall return, and have rest and be at ease, with no one to trouble him.

 Hebrew Bible: Anderson-Forbes analysed text:

We are able to see this similar construct in another couple of verses, yet this time is written in the feminine second person, as this is a reference to Yisra’ĕl, as the Bride, knowing who their Saviour is!

1: Yeshayahu/Isaiah 49:26

ISR Scriptures 1998 Edition:

And I shall feed those who oppress you with their own flesh, and let them drink their own blood as sweet wine. All flesh shall know that I, יהוה, am your Saviour, and your Redeemer, the Elohim of Ya’aqoḇ.

In the Hebrew text it becomes clear here by the wording order, as we see אֲנִי יהוה מוֹשִׁיעֵךְ  – ‘ani Yahweh Moshiyeeḥ’ = ‘I AM YHWH your Saviour’.

2: Yeshayahu/Isaiah 60:16

ISR Scriptures 1998 Edition:

What is clearly evident from the above examples is that יהוה is Yisra’ĕl’s מוֹשִׁיעֵךְ  Moshiyech’!!!

Let us continue to look at further evidence from other verses that give reference to who the ‘Moshiyah’ is:

1 – Yeshayahu/Isaiah 45:15:

ISR Scriptures 1998 Edition:

Truly You are Ěl, who hide Yourself, O Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, Saviour!

Hebrew OT with Strong’s #:

Hebrew Bible: Anderson-Forbes analysed text:

2 – Yeshayahu/Isaiah 45:21:

ISR Scriptures 1998 Edition:

Declare and bring near, let them even take counsel together. Who has announced this from of old? Who has declared it from that time? Is it not I, יהוה? And there is no mighty one besides Me, a righteous Ěl and a Saviour, there is none besides Me.

Hebrew OT with Strong’s #:

Here the word has a ‘וּ’ (vav) in the front which renders the term ‘and!

3 - Yeshayahu/Isaiah 63:8:

ISR Scriptures 1998 Edition:

And He said, “They are My people, children who do not act falsely.” And He became their Saviour.

Hebrew OT with Strong’s #:

 Isa 63:8  ויאמרH559  אךH389  עמיH5971  המהH1992  בניםH1121  לאH3808  ישׁקרוH8266  ויהיH1961  להםH1992  למושׁיע׃H3467

Hebrew Bible: Anderson-Forbes analysed text:

וַיֹּאמֶר אַךְ־עַמִּי הֵמָּה בָּנִים לֹא יְשַׁקֵּרוּ וַיְהִי לָהֶם לְמוֹשִׁיעַ׃

Here the word has a ‘לְ’ (lamed) in front which renders the structure as meaning ‘to/for’ ‘their Saviour’ as the term before this word – לָהֶם – ‘lahem’ means, their.

Here we are told that Elohim ‘became’ their Saviour! The Hebrew word for ‘became’ is הָיָה hayah – Strong’s H1961 which means, to be, to become, to be in existence. It is written in the ‘qal active’ verb tense which can also render, to occur, come about, come to pass, to become, to be instituted, to be established. This is a very powerful verse, for it clearly states that Elohim ‘becomes’ or is established as being the Saviour of those who do not act falsely!

We know that יהוה is the Saviour and there in none beside Him, yet He is not ‘Saviour’ to all – why? Because there are so many who continue to ‘act falsely’ and reject the need to cling to יהוה, fear Him and walk in His ways and guard His Torah. Therefore, it is clear that to those who call upon His Name, and turn away from falsehood and lies and repent of lawlessness and sin and walk in the Truth, יהוה becomes their Saviour/Deliverer. In other words, He becomes to those who turn back to Him, the ‘Causer of deliverance’! The reason I am sharing this valuable nugget of truth with you, is that this all makes perfect sense when reading the letter to the Hebrews in the Renewed Writings in speaking of Messiah:

Iḇ’rim/Hebrews 5: 9 “And having been perfected, He became the Causer of everlasting deliverance to all those obeying Him

Messiah ‘became’ the ‘Causer of everlasting deliverance’ – to who? To those who obey and do not act falsely!!!

The Greek word translated as ‘became’ is γίνομαι ginomai – Strong’s G1096 which means, to come into being, to happen, to become, accomplish, begin to be, come into existance.

This Greek word is used in the LXX (Septuagint – Greek translation of the Tanak (O.T.)) in the verse from Yeshayahu/Isaiah 63:8 that we looked at:

Isa 63:8  καιG2532 CONJ ειπενV-AAI-3S ουχG3364 ADV οG3588 T-NSM λαοςG2992 N-NSM μουG1473 P-GS τεκναG5043 N-NPN ουG3364 ADV μηG3165 ADV αθετησωσινG114 V-FAI-3P καιG2532 CONJ εγενετοG1096 V-AMI-3S αυτοιςG846 D-DPM ειςG1519 PREP σωτηριανG4991 N-ASF

What we clearly recognise here is the wonderful prophetic language of Yeshayahu being fully proclaimed in the letter to the Hebrews, in clearly declaring who the ‘causer of salvation’ is. There is only ONE ‘Causer’ of Salvation/Deliverance!!!

In Iḇ’rim/Hebrew 5:9 we must also take note of the fact that the Word for ‘deliverance’ is also a very important clue in our discovery of revealing who the ‘Moshiya’ of Yisra’ĕl is!

Deliverance in the Greek is the word σωτηρία sōtēria – Strong’s G4991 which means, deliverance, salvation, and comes from the word σωτήρ sōtēr – Strong’s G4990 which means, a saviour, deliverer, which is from the word σῴζω sōzō – Strong’s G4982 which means, to save, restore, make whole, heal.

This Greek word σωτηρία sōtēria – Strong’s G4991 is, as you can see above, used in the LXX of Yeshayahu/Isaiah 63:8, in translation of the Hebrew word ‘מוֹשִׁיעַ’ (Moshiya).

Hear what I am saying here! Yeshayahu/Isaiah 63:8 is clearly revealing to us the fact that יהוה became the Moshiya (Saviour - Soteria); and in Iḇ’rim/Hebrews we are clearly told that יהושע has become the Soteria (Saviour – Moshiya)!!!

4 – Yeshayahu/Isaiah 19:20:

ISR Scriptures 1998 Edition:

And it shall be for a sign and for a witness to יהוה of hosts in the land of Mitsrayim. When they cry to יהוה because of the oppressors, He sends them a Saviour and an Elohim, and shall deliver them.

5 – Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 14:8:

ISR Scriptures 1998 Edition:

O Expectation of Yisra’ĕl, its Saviour in time of distress, why should You be like a stranger in the land, or like a traveller who turns aside to lodge?

Hebrew Bible: Anderson-Forbes analysed text:

מִקְוֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל מוֹשִׁיעוֹ בְּעֵת צָרָה לָמָּה תִהְיֶה כְּגֵר בָּאָרֶץ וּכְאֹרֵחַ נָטָה לָלוּן׃

Here we have the word ‘Moshiyo’ which is another variant in the structure that simply points to who is the expectation and Saviour of Yisra’ĕl.

Having now looked at the root word in Hebrew יָשַׁע  yasha – Strong’s H3467 where it is written if the form of declaring who is the cause of our salvation, and who our Saviour is, as rendered in the transliterated terms of ‘Moshiya or Moshiyech’, we recognise that there is certainly a fascination revelation that is being unfolded before us, that has somehow been kept hidden from us for various reasons. From a Hebraic perspective I begin to clearly see that the term ‘Moshiya’ or transliterated English term means more than anointed, but further stresses the more perfect meaning of deliverance and who is the only causer of that deliverance!

Many modern Yehuḏim (Jews) and their rabbis will often tell us that the term Messiah only means ‘anointed’ and by this thought process, we are often influenced by their presentation of the text as we have reckoned that they have to be the ones who are able to make know to us their own spoken language; yet what we are clearly seeing more and more is that when one studies the language and looks at the text alone, the Spirit of Elohim is able to teach us His pure language that he has given us all to understand.

The term ‘anointed’ in Hebrew is the root word מָשַׁח mashaḥ – Strong’s H4886 meaning, to smear, anoint, paint, spread, anointing, anoint, and a derivative of this verb is מָשִׁיחַ mashiaḥ – Strong’s H4899 which means, anointed and is typically translated traditionally as ‘Messiah’. This word is used 39 times in 38 verses in the Tanak, which in the KJV has been translated into English as ‘anointed’ 37 times and 2 times as ‘Messiah’ in Dani’ěl/Daniel 9:25&26.

The ISR Scriptures 1998 translated this Hebrew word מָשִׁיחַ mashiaḥ as Messiah 3 times. Twice in Dani’ěl 9:25&26 and the third time in Tehillah/Psalm 2.

Now while I am not disputing that the English word ‘Messiah’ is typically understood as ‘anointed’ or rather ‘The Anointed One’, especially when we have clear reference to this transliteration from the Hebrew word מָשִׁיחַ mashiaḥ; however I am also presenting the clear evidence that our transliterated word ‘Messiah’ is also a clear reference to the word we have been discussing for ‘Saviour’ in Hebrew – מוֹשִׁיעַ  Moshiya.

The Renewed Writings is very clear in its reference to יהושע being our ‘Messiah’, who is clearly our ‘Anointed High Priest and King’, yet He is most definitely our ‘Saviour/Deliverer’, which is why I am submitting this clear reference in the Hebrew as to who our Moshiya or better transliterated for us as Messiah (our Saviour).

Each of the verses we have looked at from the Tanak in reference to ‘Saviour/Deliverer’ we are able to see that in the Greek translation (LXX – Septuagint) that the Greek term consistently shows us that the ‘Moshiya/Moshiyech’ is the σωτήρ sōtēr – Strong’s G4990 (Saviour) who is the One who σῴζω sōzō – Strong’s G4982 (saves/heals) and causes our σωτηρία sōtēria – Strong’s G4991 (deliverance/Salvation).

The Anointed is the Saviour!

Yoḥanan/John 4:42 “And they said to the woman, “We no longer believe because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard, and we know that this is truly the Messiah, the Saviour of the world.

The Greek word used here for ‘Messiah’ is Χριστός Christos – Strong’s G5547 meaning, The Anointed One, Messiah, and the Greek word used here for ‘Saviour’ is σωτήρ sōtēr – Strong’s G4990Saviour/Deliverer.

The מָשִׁיחַ mashiaḥ is the מוֹשִׁיעַ  Moshiya.

Having established that יהושע is both The Anointed and The Saviour – He is clearly the Messiah. What we further see in the Greek text is that Elohim is our σωτήρ sōtēr – Strong’s G4990Saviour/Deliverer.

I trust that you are putting the dots together!!!

Yehuḏah/Jude 1:25 “to the only wise Elohim, our Saviour, be esteem and greatness and might and authority, both now and forever. Aměn.

Here Yehuḏah/Jude is making it clear at the end of his letter, that Elohim is our Saviour, and the Greek word for ‘Saviour’ is σωτήρ sōtēr – Strong’s G4990. What does this mean for us based on this study we are doing? Well it is clear – The Saviour is Elohim – that is to say that Messiah is Elohim – and more plainly put – יהושע is our One Elohim!

We have further witness to this same expression and language that makes it clear to us as seen in:

Titos/Titus 2:10 “not stealing, but showing all good trustworthiness, so that they adorn the teaching of Elohim our Saviour in every way.

Titos/Titus 2:13 “looking for the blessed expectation and esteemed appearance of the great Elohim and our Saviour יהושע Messiah.

Titos/Titus 3:4 “But when the kindness and the love of Elohim our Saviour toward man appeared

Kěpha Bět/2 Peter 1:1 “Shimon Kěpha, a servant and emissary of יהושע Messiah, to those who have obtained a belief as precious as ours by the righteousness of our Elohim and Saviour יהושע Messiah

Hoshěa/Hosea 13:4 “But I am יהוה your Elohim since the land of Mitsrayim, and an Elohim besides Me you shall not know, for there is no Saviour besides Me.

Here in the book of Hoshěa,  יהוה makes it very clear – there is NO Elohim and NO Saviour besides Him!!!

 Hos 13:4  ואנכיH595  יהוהH3068  אלהיךH430  מארץH776  מצריםH4714  ואלהיםH430  זולתיH2108  לאH3808  תדעH3045  ומושׁיעH3467  איןH369  בלתי׃H1115

Once again we can see from Hoshěa the use of the Hebrew word ‘Moshiya’.

Dawiḏ cried out in a song of deliverance:

Shemuʼěl Bět/2 Samuel 22:3 “My Elohim is my rock, I take refuge in Him, My shield and the horn of my deliverance, My high tower and my refuge. My Saviour, You save me from violence.

Here we see the term ‘moshiyi’ which renders ‘my Saviour’, and Dawiḏ made it clear that יהוה His Elohim was His Saviour – His Messiah!!!

While many struggle to accept this clear evidence that יהושע Messiah is יהוה our Elohim who Saves us, we also must take note that while many called יהושע the ‘Son of Elohim’, nowhere in Scripture do we see יהושע Messiah referring to Himself by the title of ‘The Son of Elohim’. He did state that He was the son of Man 86 times, but never did He call Himself Son of Elohim – for He is Elohim!!!

In Yeshayahu when it was prophesied about His birth, it was clear what He would be called:

Yeshayahu/Isaiah 9:6 “For a Child shall be born unto us, a Son shall be given unto us, and the rule is on His shoulder. And His Name is called Wonder, Counsellor, Strong Ěl, Father of Continuity, Prince of Peace.

This ‘Son’ that was given to us is called both Strong Ěl, Father of Continuity. This Son – will be called ‘Elohim’. He will also be called ‘Father of continuity/Everlasting Father’ which in Hebrew is the term אֲבִי עַד – ‘Aḇi aḏ and is from the two words: אָב Aḇ - Strong’s H1 which means Father, and aḇi means, my father’. The other word עַד aḏ - Strong’s H5703 means, perpetuity, everlasting, continually ,eternal. This is clear – The Child born to us has the Name ‘Everlasting Father’, which is literally rendered as ‘My Father forever’ There is also the thought that this word for אֲבִי (aḇi) here is a shortened form of אֲבִיָּה Aḇiyah – Strong’s H29 which means, Yah is my father, as it is possible in the structure of these two nouns coming together in the construct state for the letter ‘hey’ – הto fall away, and this being the case it would render the clear reference to Messiah being called ‘Yah the Everlasting Father’!

When one looks at this term in the ancient pictographic lettering we see a powerful picture that reveals to us how THE FATHER has revealed Himself to us!

The term אֲבִי עַד aḇi aḏ’, which proclaims, “My Eternal Father” or “My Father Everlasting” looks like this:

daletayin      yadbeitaleph

The two words individually look like this:

MY Father – אֲבִי aḇi:

 yadbeitaleph

Aleph - אֲ:

The ancient script has this letter as aleph and is pictured as the head of an ox, and represents ‘strength’, meaning ‘muscle’ as the ox is the strongest of the livestock animals. This also carries the meaning of ‘yoke’, as an ox is placed in a yoke in order to plough or pull a heavy load in the right direction. This can also picture for us the ‘red heifer’ sacrifice that יהושע Messiah fulfilled!

Beyt - בִ:

The ancient script has this letter as beit, which pictures a tent floor plan and means, ‘house’ or ‘tent’. It represents family and the importance of those who are inside the tent as opposed to the tent structure itself.

Yod –  יִ:

The ancient script has this letter as yad which is ‘an arm and hand’ and carries the meaning of ‘work, make, throw’, from the primary functions of the arm and hand, and it also represents worship or giving thanks in the extending of hands as a gesture of this. The work of one’s hands is the basic meaning of this letter!

In its root form the ancient script represents this word as meaning the strength of the House, which can represent that which upholds the house such as tent poles, or the father who upholds the family, and is the strength of the family. The addition of the ‘yod’ makes this word become personal as it renders the father as being ‘my’ father, and emphasises how it is the Father who works my deliverance by His own outstretched arm and hand.

Eternal - עַד aḏ:

daletayin

Ayin - עַ:

The original pictograph for this letter is ayin and represents the idea of ‘seeing and watching’, as well as ‘knowledge’. as the eye is the ‘window of knowledge’.

Daletד:

The ancient script has this letter as dalet and is pictured as a ‘tent door’. It can also have the meaning of ‘a back and forth movement, as one goes back and forth through a tent door, and so speaks of an access point. It can also carry the meaning of ‘dangle’ or hanging as the tent door would hang from the roof pole of the tent. It speaks a great deal in terms of understanding the door of the tent of appointment as the only means of access.

Combined these two letters mean, ‘see the door’.

When we understand this wording in terms of who the DOOR is, we are able to see that this wording is making it clear to us that our ETERNAL FATHER HAS STRETCHED OUT HIS ARM AND HAND, and WE SEE HIM AS THE DOOR, WHICH IS MESSIAH!

Messiah the Door is the outstretched arm and Hand of Elohim who is called our Father forever!

Yeshayahu/Isaiah 53:1 “Who has believed our report? And to whom was the arm of יהוה revealed?

Yoḥanan/John 14:6-11 “יהושע said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. 7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father too. From now on you know Him, and have seen.” 8 Philip said to Him, “Master, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9 יהושע said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father, and how do you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak from Myself. But the Father who stays in Me does His works. 11 “Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, otherwise believe Me because of the works themselves.

The son (Messiah) IS the Father!

Yoḥanan/John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh and pitched His tent among us, and we saw His esteem, esteem as of an only brought-forth of a father, complete in favour and truth.

The ‘esteem’ of Elohim we saw ‘AS OF’ an only brought forth son of a father! The Greek word used here for ‘as’ is ὡς hōs – Strong’s H5613 which means, as, like as, even as, and clearly emphasises for us what we saw in terms of the esteem if Elohim, as we saw it ‘as’ a brought forth son of a father! יהוה came and showed us His esteem as of a son brought forth from a father, for the Son (Messiah) is Our everlasting Father… יהוה is our Messiah!

Another text that I would like to highlight in closing this study is the one we find in:

Zeḵaryah/Zechariah 8:7Thus said יהוה of hosts, ‘See, I am saving My people from the land of the sunrise and from the land of the sunset.

While this verse may not be something that is quickly recognisable in declaring who our Messiah is, when reading this in English, we are certainly able to see the powerful declaration that יהוה is given in this verse, when looking at the Hebrew text!

Looking at the HOT+ (Hebrew Old Testament with Strong’s numbers):

Zec 8:7  כה H3541  אמר H559  יהוה H3068  צבאות H6635  הנני H2005 מושׁיע H3467 את H853 עמיH5971 מארץ H776  מזרח H4217   ומארץ H776  מבוא H3996  השׁמשׁ׃H8121

As you will notice above, with the word in the Hebrew text of the verse that I have highlighted, you can see the Strong’s number that is given – and that is the root word we have discussed – H3467 - יָשַׁע yasha.

In the Hebrew text with vowel pointing’s this verse can be read as:

כֹּה אָמַר יהוה צְבָאוֹת הִנְנִי מוֹשִׁיעַ אֶת־עַמִּי מֵאֶרֶץ מִזְרָח וּמֵאֶרֶץ מְבוֹא הַשָּׁמֶשׁ׃

What you can see here is that the highlighted word is constructed with more letters than just יָשַׁע yasha. It is the word:

מוֹשִׁיעַ

The phrase that is translated into English as, ‘I am saving My people’, is written in the Hebrew as follows:

הִנְנִי מוֹשִׁיעַ אֶת־עַמִּי

This phrase can be transliterated as follows:

Hinniy Moshiya eth-ammiy

It can be broken down and translated as: “I AM SAVING MY PEOPLE”, coming from the following words:

1) הִנְנִי – Hinniy – this word is the construct of two words: a) הִנֵּה hinneh – Strong’s H2009 which means, Lo! Behold! Look! See! and b) אֲנִי aniy – Strong’s H589 which means, me, I, alone, myselfand is written in the first person singular, usually for emphasis.

2) מוֹשִׁיעַ – Moshiya – the word that we have been looking very closely at which as a noun can mean ‘Saviour’ and as a verb it can bet rendered as ‘saves, saving’.

3) אֶת – eth – this is a word that is seen as an untranslated participle, and is used as a direct object marker for which we have no equivalent in English, therefore this is used as a sign of the definite direct object, not translated in English but generally preceding and indicating the accusative, which is the grammatical case that marks the direct object of a verb or the object of any or several prepositions. In other words we see here that in Elohim ‘saving’, the ‘eth’ (אֵת) points to who He is saving:

4) עַמִּי – Ammiy – this word is the construct of two words: a) אֲנִי aniy – Strong’s H589 which means, me, I, alone, myselfand is written in the first person singular, usually for emphasis; and b) עָם am – Strong’s H5971 meaning, people, nation, citizens

The reason for me emphasising this powerful declaration that יהוה is making, by saying that He is saving His people from east to west, is to clearly highlight that powerful statement that He is in fact making through prophecy; and that is that He is making the bold and clear declaration: “Behold, I AM MESSIAH!

With this short study on ‘who’ our Saviour indeed is, we are given the clear evidence that the term ‘Messiah’ carries more than the meaning of ‘Anointed One’ alone, as it also has a very vivid and clear reference to the One who is our Saviour/Deliverer: the causer of our Deliverance.

From this Scriptural evidence we are further able to with boldness declare Yah as Messiah!

יהוה מוֹשִׁיעֵךְ

May you confess that יהוה is your Saviour – Moshiyeḥ/Moshiyech = your Messiah! Or better put… declare as Dawiḏ declared:

יהוה מֹשִׁעִי

יהוה Moshiyi = יהוה is my Messiah (my Saviour)…

From this we are equipped to confidently bear witness through our confession, the powerful Name of:

יהושע (Yahushua): this simply means: יַהְוֶה (YAHWEH) Deliverers/Saves

And so when we say יהושע Messiah we are making is clear that it is יהוה who saves and He is The Anointed One who is my saviour and the causer of my deliverance!

יהוה bless you and guard you; יהוה make His face shine upon you and show you favour; יהוה lift up His face to you and give you Shalom!
